Bought larger LCD monitor, found Internet text sizes too small. Fixed that by checking box in Internet Options - Accessibility - Formatting - Ignore Font Sizes on Web. I don't know if that change is causing the problem. Text is larger but the right-hand slider bar goes all over the place when first accessing a site, and can't be tamed until it stops bouncing around. Anyone know about this?

    Hey Bob

Does it do it if you don't check the "Ignore..." thing.

Checking that box has been known to cause weird stuff in unrelated things like Outlook Express fonts.

Check Tools/Internet Options/Advanced in your browser menu and see if "Smooth Scrolling " is checked. If it is Uncheck it.. May fix your problem.

    Thanks guys.

If I don't check the "Ignore" box, the runaway slider bar is now controllable. But some website text becomes too small to read and can't be changed using View-Text Size. (which was the reason for checking Ignore in the first place).

If I uncheck 'smooth scrolling', I can leave the 'Ignore' box checked and the result is correct text sizing and no runaway slider.

The only difference is that without smooth scrolling the text scrolls in a jerky motion.

This is the curse of the larger LCD monitors I guess.
